FAQs
Services are offered
I am a registered psychologist with over 15 years of experience, having practised since 2008, and I have specialised in addiction support since 2003. I provide friendly, professional, and down-to-earth care using proven, evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My work supports individuals facing anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction, burnout, and perinatal mental health challenges. I also assist families, parents, and people navigating complex health or cultural issues, with services available in both English and Afrikaans. My approach is positive and practical, focusing on real-world strategies that help you take meaningful steps toward improved wellbeing.
How to book an appointment?
Scheduling an appointment is easy and convenient. You can book directly via the booking page, or get in touch by phone or email, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I aim to offer flexible times to suit your schedule and am committed to providing prompt, supportive care from the very first contact.
What to expect during your first appointment?
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, start building rapport, and work together to understand your needs. We’ll talk about what has brought you here, explore your goals, and begin developing a treatment plan tailored to you.

I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, and it’s normal to feel a little nervous. My aim is to create a welcoming, supportive, and safe environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. From the moment you walk in, I’ll do everything I can to help you feel at ease.

This session is about laying the foundation for our work together — so you can feel confident and supported as we move forward.
Getting the best from psychology
To get the best out of our sessions, it helps to be open and honest about what you’re thinking and feeling—that way, we can work together most effectively. Taking an active role both during our time together and between sessions really helps you make progress. Keeping up with your appointments and staying committed to your growth means you’ll see steady improvements and feel more empowered over time.
Convenient support when you need it
Standard appointments last 50 minutes.
If you need more time, I also offer 80-minute and 110-minute sessions—just let me know when booking, and we’ll arrange a longer appointment that fits your needs.

Zoom and telephone appointments are available upon request for your convenience.
Enhancing record-keeping through AI technology
I am committed to providing accurate and efficient documentation of therapy sessions to support the highest quality care. With your consent, I may use AI-assisted software, such as PatientNote, to help prepare clinical notes and assessments.

PatientNote only records your name and surname, no other personal information, and all data is deleted after 30 days. This ensures your privacy and confidentiality are fully protected.

This technology is solely used to enhance the clarity and accuracy of your clinical records, helping me build a clear clinical profile and track your progress more effectively over time.

Using AI-assisted documentation is completely voluntary, you can opt out at any point without any impact on your care or treatment quality.
All notes generated with the assistance of AI are carefully reviewed by me and securely stored in accordance with strict privacy, ethical, and data protection standards.

If you have any questions or concerns about this process, please feel free to discuss them with me during your appointment.
